Space, Remastered

Location: Hollywood, California - Scope: 6,000 SF Law Offices, Gallery and Clay Studio - Client: Alan Harris & Marcela Ruble

This two-story Art Deco style building was built in 1936 for the Agfa-Ansco Corporation as offices and film archives, and had been so suffocated by renovations for various uses over the years that it took almost archeological effort to restore. Careful excavation of original detailing and spatial organization brought back its original elegance and created a space infused with an almost etherial character.
